Settling Into Autumn

Hey there, everyone! It's your Friendly Nrighborhood Cunabear here! I hope you all are doing well!
Just wanted to real-talk with you guys about where I've been & what I've been up to lately & "blog" a lil bit, if I may. (Stoney-Brained sidenote, lowkey miss blogging old-school style. Not the like...media blogging, or even old-tumblr blogging. The "internet journal" shit? Ahead of its time. Anyway.)
Honestly the end of summer came to a calm, easing crawl into Autumn for me in ways it feels like never happen enough these days.
For those of you who don't know me IRL, This year I turned 30, fell in love with a gorgeous and kind-hearted woman (& her kickass kiddo), & attempted to merge our families, moved (temporarily) to NY and am currently writing this post from our bed while boo is snoozing on my shoulder. So for such a busy year, it's crawled by during transitionary times.
The cold north approaches soon, I've been writing raps about it at night after putting my household to bed, then making a beat or two, playing through kingdom hearts, applying for day-jobs and then crawling into bed with my beloved after I'm done.
As a self-proclaimed tropical lad, the cold doesn't excite me, as a partner and father, I'd travel anywhere to be with them and help take care of them. And as a rapper and artist, it's new experiences that drive me to write and create more than anything else; this rollercoaster of a life has lent me many of those over the years, but something symbolic about turning 30 and becoming a partner & father has me creatively energized in a brand new light.
Buuuuuuuut alsoooooo partnership & fatherhood are full-time jobs for sure, and I won't pretend they haven't slowed my pace down when it comes to making time for art. I don't think it's a bad thing for me though. I find my storage capacity for ideas has grown enough to when & where it's time I'm able to make progress as it counts to be made.
I'm thinking it'd be cool to take a year to make a project and take a year to promote it. That's kinda what my pace has been leading toward since "Big Sun King", unintentionally so as well until now.
That being said, I've got one out of a few upcoming projects done in every way besides the album art (you'll be getting all the demos for that one soon), and the others have beats chosen and pre-sequenced.
I've had to leave my cassette dubbing equipment back home in GA, along with some other gear and knickknacks, until our time in NY is officially done, so I'm not operating at full capacity and I feel the pull on my ankles, though the chains don't weigh heavily.
We'll get there right on time though, and I'm grateful you guys have stuck with me throughout AI takeovers, Social Media self-destructions, multiple multi-album bandcamp wipes, Spotify + streaming AS A WHOLE and all the BS that comes with it, tours, tapes, paints, records and all that jazz as well.
For what it's worth, I wish I didn't need to charge money for my music and art. In a perfect world capitalism/colonialism/zionism and all its children would choke on their own chodes and we'd all be better off. But reality is I'm an artist in a capitalist world, and I can't feed my babies off thoughts and prayers, and therefore yesterday's price can't be today's price until major changes I'm not in control of singularly can happen consistently. So I appreciate everyone who's subscribed to the website, bought merch, came to a show, or just told a friend about what I've got goin on in the creative world. Many many blessings upon yall for that.
Yall are the shit. I love you all. May you make Today A Great Day. Blessings & Abundance, Beloved.
Thankyou for reading. More updates soon!
