This is some of my most important personal work. This is closing-in on 30. This is recognizing the mortality of your family members. This is recognizing that you are now the OG’s you once looked for and up-to, and it is now your responsibility to fill those shoes as best you can. This is the first step on the journey of “walking the walk”. I wrote these songs to inspire me on the days where my father’s voice won’t be able to reach me physically. On the days it’s hard to work-out in the morning and I feel emotionally low, this is declaring to myself abstinently “FUCK IT, WE BALL!!”.
