"Shifa" (or "شفا") is a word in Urdu, my father's native language, which roughly translates to "Recovery", "to Heal", or "to Cure" in English, and this album is about taking time to immerse yourself in that healing energy when you feel like you've lost touch with your innermost self, re-forging connections with people, places, and things that matter to you. It's about being brave enough to turn your back on the chaos of the world for awhile, climb up the mountain, and re-establish an understanding of who you were vs who you are becoming so that you can move forward as the best version of yourself.
